Furbo 360° with Mini 360° Camera: Is a Two-Camera Bundle Worth It?

A second camera only earns its place if there is a second spot you genuinely want to watch. That is the test for this Furbo bundle, which pairs the Furbo 360° Dog Camera with the Furbo Mini 360° Pet Camera. The listing sells it as "total home coverage", and the practical question is whether your home is the sort of place where two rotating cameras make that true.

What the listing says is in the bundle

The Amazon.co.uk title lists the Furbo 360° Dog Camera and the Mini 360° Pet Camera, describes them as a Wi-Fi pet camera and treat dispenser with 1080p HD, two-way audio and night vision, and carries a bracketed warning: subscription required, with a three-month commitment to unlock.

The listing's bullet points describe the main camera as a rotating wide-angle camera that you pan from the app, with 4x zoom and an auto-tracking mode that follows your pet around the room. Treat tossing is described as dry treats only, holding more than 100 pieces of about 1 cm. Barking, howling and crying alerts and two-way audio round out the basics.

The listing's longer description says the Mini is calibrated for dogs and cats, uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which it says is required, and is powered by USB-C with a 1 m cable included. It also says a UK wall plug is not included, so check you have a spare USB charger before it arrives.

The subscription is not optional at setup

This is the point to read twice. The listing says you must purchase a plan during app setup, with a minimum three-month commitment, before the cameras will work. After the first three months it says you can cancel and the Furbo will stay unlocked with standard features: live view, treat tossing, bark alerts and two-way audio.

The paid Nanny plan is described as adding smart alerts, multi-pet recognition, person detection, carbon monoxide and smoke alarm alerts, and glass-break detection. Cloud recording and daily diaries are mentioned in the longer description. Those are subscription features by the listing's own account.

In practice that means you should budget for at least the first three months of the plan, and decide in advance whether you will keep it. If you would not pay for the extras, you are in effect paying for three months you may not need before the camera settles into standard mode. Check the current price on Amazon and the plan terms shown in the app, because both can change.

Whole-home coverage, honestly

A 360-degree camera sees the whole of one room, not the whole of a house. Two cameras means two rooms, which is useful if your dog roams between, say, the kitchen and the living room, or if a cat shares the home. The listing describes multi-pet recognition as a subscription feature, so without the plan you will not get individual activity tracking.

Be wary of assuming both cameras do everything. The listing does not make it clear that the Mini has a treat dispenser, and the bullet points tend to blur which camera has which feature. The treat toss is described alongside the Furbo 360, so we would not expect the smaller camera to toss treats. If treat tossing in both rooms matters to you, ask the seller or check the product images first.

Things to weigh up

Who this will not suit

If you only need to see one room, the single camera does the job, and our Furbo 360 review goes through the subscription differences between its two listings. If you do not care about treat tossing at all, a basic pet camera can be a simpler route, and the best dog cameras roundup has other options.

The short answer

The bundle suits a household with two rooms to monitor, possibly with a dog and a cat, that is happy to pay for the plan at least initially. It is a poor fit if you want to avoid subscriptions altogether, if you only need a view of one room, or if you would rather buy something with a larger body of ratings behind it. Work out your second camera location before ordering, not after.
