Privacy Policy & Cookies

Last updated: 4 October 2026

PawPicked (pawpicked.uk) is a small, independent UK website that reviews pet products. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it. In short: we do not ask you for personal information, we have no accounts, comments, forms or newsletters, and we do not collect or sell data ourselves. The third-party services listed below, which we use to run the site and earn from it, may collect some data through your browser, and only the services you allow through the cookie banner are switched on.

Questions or requests about your data: agenticreviews@proton.me.

Who is responsible for your data

PawPicked, the operator of this website, is the controller for the limited data described here. For the data the third-party services below collect for their own purposes, that service is a controller in its own right and its own privacy notice applies.

What we do not do

Cookies and consent

When you first visit, a consent banner from CookieHub asks which cookies you accept. Analytics cookies and advertising cookies are only loaded after you allow them, and adverts are not shown until you do. You can change your mind at any time: . Strictly necessary storage (remembering your cookie choice) does not need consent.

The services involved

Amazon Associates (affiliate links)

PawPicked is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme. Links to Amazon.co.uk on this site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you click, you leave PawPicked and Amazon’s own cookies and privacy practices apply. We only see aggregate commission reports from Amazon, not who you are. See the Amazon.co.uk Privacy Notice.

Google Analytics 4 (visit statistics)

With your consent we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. Google sets cookies and receives information such as your approximate location, device and browser type and the pages you view. We only look at aggregated reports. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google AdSense (advertising)

With your consent, this site shows adverts served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies, your IP address and device information to show and measure adverts, which can include personalised adverts based on your browsing. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings or opt out of personalised advertising from participating companies at Your Online Choices.

CookieHub (consent management)

CookieHub provides the cookie banner. It stores your consent choice, and the date of it, in your browser and records it so the choice can be honoured and evidenced. See the CookieHub privacy policy.

Cloudflare (hosting and security)

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and technical request data to serve pages, protect against attacks and keep the site fast. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts and script libraries

Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and some scripts from the Cloudflare cdnjs library host. Your browser connects to those servers to fetch the files, which means they receive your IP address. See Google Fonts privacy.

Storage in your browser

The site saves cached copies of pages and files in your browser (a service worker) so repeat visits load faster, and may remember display preferences. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it in your browser settings.

Why this is lawful (UK GDPR and PECR)

How long data is kept

We do not store personal data ourselves. Retention for Google, Amazon, Cloudflare and CookieHub is set by each provider; see their notices above. Your consent choice is stored in a cookie that expires according to the CookieHub configuration.

International transfers

These providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Each relies on safeguards such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses; their notices explain how.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask the controller of your data for access to it, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. For data held by Google, Amazon, Cloudflare or CookieHub, contact them directly using their privacy notices. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

PawPicked is aimed at adult pet owners and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If the services we use change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Affiliate and advertising details are also in our About & affiliate disclosure.
